How Wisconsin alimony works

For short-term marriages (under 10 years), maintenance may be temporary or rehabilitative. For medium-length marriages (10-20 years), payments may last several years. For long-term marriages (20+ years), indefinite maintenance is more likely, especially if one spouse was financially dependent.
