Know what you can rely on

Our sources, our limits, and how to tell us when something needs correcting.

Who publishes this site

SelfHelpDivorce.com was founded by Carlos Vazquez to make divorce information easier to navigate. It is part of the Miami Marketer and JurisAutomated ecosystem. Carlos's firsthand experience explains the site's purpose; it is not a legal credential.

Education, not representation

We are not a law firm. Articles, checklists and tools help you organize information and prepare questions. They do not apply the law to your individual case. Unless a page explicitly names a qualified legal reviewer, do not assume it has been reviewed by an attorney.

How to assess a page

We use software and AI assistance in research, drafting and site development. Those tools can make errors. A publication date does not certify that every legal statement was rechecked that day, and a source link does not mean a court endorses this site.

What changed in September 2026

We consolidated repeated county guides into state court directories, replaced unsupported support estimates, and corrected the Florida alimony and filing explanations. The Florida tools now describe the calculation performed and the parts they leave out. State resource pages link to official guidance rather than use a nationwide formula to predict a payment.

Corrections and feedback

Use Contact & corrections to send the page URL, the statement at issue and an official source if available. Do not include confidential filings, account numbers, Social Security numbers or information about a child. We can review site content; we cannot advise on your case.

Advertising and professional connections

The site may display advertising and links to professional services. An advertisement is not a recommendation. If you request a professional connection, information you submit may be shared with a relevant provider as described in the form and privacy policy. Availability, fees and representation must be confirmed directly with that professional; a request does not guarantee a match or create an attorney-client relationship.
